In January 2018, I sent the very first edition of this newsletter. You can read it here. Since then, I haven’t stopped. I cringe at patting myself on the back — truly I do, just ask my wife — but I’m awfully proud that I’ve sent this thing (almost) every Friday for 5 years. I skipped one week last year over the holidays — as far as I can remember, that’s the only time I’ve skipped.
Thanks for what you do, Jeremy! I’ve found tons of books through your newsletter (including my favorite from 2022, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow).
Congratulations on 5 years! I'm happy you get to see your work pay off in such a tangible way. Your newsletter has also inspired me to read more and got me thinking about writing.
I already voted in your poll, but I would love to see book lists and whatever essays/What's On My Mind pieces you come up with.
Congrats Jeremy. I love being apart of this journey with you. As for adding more paid subscribers, you'd be amazed at how motivating a tote or a coffee mug or something that showcases a person's bookishness can be.
That's incredible, dude! Can't believe it's already been half a decade. I forward your stuff on to anyone and everyone I know that loves books but I'll keep pushing that hard. Thanks for all your do. You have opened my reading list up immensely and I'm eternally grateful for that!
Congratulations on 5 years! I have only just found your newsletter this year and yours is the one I read every Friday. I have shared it with friends, as well.
Thank you, Jeremy. I’m finding new good reads from your posts.
This month I’m plugging for an author friend who wrote about a young woman, a hemiplegic, having doubts about her upcoming wedding. Jennifer Hallmark’s book, JESSIE’S HOPE, is a Southern Romance set in rural Alabama.
Well done! This newsletter along with The Big Read have been inspiring and encouraging for me in my own reading and writing journey. Excited to see what else you create in the future!
Thank you Jeremy, and congratulations on the milestone!
I’ve told as many people as i know about this blog and will continue to do so (and The Big Read!). There aren’t many things that land in my inbox that I always read, but your newsletter is something I look forward to reading each week. I’ll be subscribing to show my support, and hope others will follow my lead and do so, too!
Looking forward to the next five years! Can’t wait to see where it goes from here!

Congratulations! I just started mine in October and it truly is a lot of work to pull it all together each week. So kudos on 5 years - wow!
Congrats, Jeremy! Started following you since the time you were an editor at AoM! Have been really enjoying Big Reads. Thank you!

Thank You,

Keep up the good work, Jeremy. Im interested in your future reading as it’ll give me ideas for my reading plans.
