I grew up in Canada. We had these "Heritage Minutes" on television. Here is a link to clip of the one about James Naismith, who we were taught was the Canadian who invented basketball.

Might not be a unique pick but Michael Chabon's "Summerland" has always been my go-to baseball novel. It really shows how mythical the sport can seem.

Jeremy, I'm interested in your thoughts on the new pitch clock. I was disappointed that they were attempting to increase the pace of the game -- something I've always enjoyed right where it was. Nothing beats spending a slow evening on the back deck at home watching the Padres play.
